Daegu Center for Creative Economy & Innovation Reappoints Professor Kim Gilsu as Head of Experimental Animal Center

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] The Daegu-Gyeongbuk Advanced Medical Industry Promotion Foundation (Chairman Youngho Lee) announced on the 18th that Professor Kimsilsu of Kyungpook National University has been reappointed as the head of the Experimental Animal Center.


Director Kimsilsu graduated from the Department of Veterinary Medicine at Chungnam National University, obtained a master's and doctoral degree in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology from Kyungpook National University Graduate School, and has worked at Asan Life Science Research Institute, Orient Bio Co., Ltd., Seoul National University College of Medicine, and Hanyang University College of Medicine. He is currently a professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kyungpook National University.


Since 2018, Director Kim has served a three-year term as the head of the foundation's Experimental Animal Center, achieving results in supporting the commercialization of medical products through non-clinical trial support that evaluates the efficacy and safety in new drug and medical device development.


Director Kimsilsu expressed his ambition, stating, "The Experimental Animal Center aims to support animal experiments at the highest domestic level, strengthen the experimental animal research system, and leap forward as an international experimental animal center."
