President Moon: "In Sync with Biden... Working Together to Resolve North Korea's Nuclear Issue"

President Moon: "In Sync with Biden... Working Together to Resolve North Korea's Nuclear Issue" President Moon Jae-in is answering reporters' questions at the New Year's press conference held at the Blue House Chunuchu-gwan on the 18th.

President Moon Jae-in said on the 18th, "The Biden administration of the United States and the Korean government share many similarities in values and policy directions, and there are parts where we feel the so-called 'code' is the same, so I have the expectation that greater progress will be made in the Korea-US relationship."

At the New Year's press conference held at the Blue House Chuncheon Hall that day, President Moon said, "I had a phone call during President-elect Biden's period, and after the launch of the Biden administration, we reached a consensus to further strengthen and develop the Korea-US relationship."

Additionally, President Moon said, "During the Kim Dae-jung administration, Korea cooperated well with the US Democratic Party government, and we also have the experience of making significant progress in inter-Korean relations at that time."

He then emphasized, "We are making efforts to ensure that the North Korean issue does not fall to a lower priority in US diplomatic matters, but rather becomes a priority."

President Moon added, "If possible, I would like to facilitate an early exchange between the Korea-US leaders to build trust and bonds, as well as to reaffirm the consensus on the Korean Peninsula peace process."
