Doosan Infracore has launched 13 models of 2021 excavators in the domestic market. The 14-ton and 16-ton excavator models feature the 'Chimseul' design as a lighting signature element.
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Doosan Infracore announced on the 18th that it has launched a total of 13 upgraded 2021 models in Korea, including three large excavators over 30 tons, three medium-sized wheel excavators, four medium-sized crawler excavators, and three 5-ton small excavators.
The 2021 5-ton wheel excavator has increased the weight of the counterweight at the rear of the equipment to enhance operational stability. The 5-ton crawler excavator enables smoother and faster combined movements during heavy load operations, resulting in excellent work efficiency.
All excavator models over 14 tons have been upgraded with various convenience features such as ventilated seats made of synthetic leather and rear sunshades, enhancing the operator cabin space. Additionally, Doosan Infracore provides its self-developed IoT solution, 'Doosan Connect,' as a standard feature, enabling smarter equipment operation and management. To increase equipment utilization under various working conditions, a wide range of attachments such as grapples, rotation links, and tilt rotators are offered as options, expanding the selection range.
In particular, the 2021 models of the 14-ton and 16-ton excavators feature a CHMSL (Center High Mounted Stop Lamp) design reflecting the lighting signature trend in the automotive industry, significantly enhancing safety. CHMSL is an auxiliary brake light applied to the upper center rear of vehicles and construction machinery. In construction machinery, the CHMSL flashes during operation to alert attention and help prevent safety accidents. Doosan Infracore plans to emphasize the CHMSL design as one of the elements representing the equipment's brand identity to enhance the emotional value provided to customers.
A Doosan Infracore official stated, "Sales in the domestic market grew by about 18% compared to the previous year," adding, "While strengthening digital online marketing, we will also explore new growth opportunities in the special equipment market such as ultra-large excavators over 80 tons, demolition, material handlers, and telescopic handlers."
