[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Oh Se-hoon, a former mayor of Seoul and considered one of the 'Big 3' candidates for the opposition's Seoul mayoral race, will officially announce his candidacy on the 17th. Former Liberty Korea Party leader Hong Joon-pyo pressured Kim Jong-in, the emergency committee chairman of the People Power Party, saying, "Embrace all of the Big 3."

On the 17th, Hong said on Facebook, "Now is the time to set aside personal feelings and unite around the great cause of ending tyranny."

On the same day, former Mayor Oh will declare his candidacy at Buk Seoul Dream Forest in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul.

Regarding this, former leader Hong said, "In this by-election for Seoul mayor, where Oh Se-hoon and former lawmaker Na Kyung-won come from the People Power Party, the center of the opposition, and Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People Party, another pillar of the opposition, this election is a crucial milestone for regime change," adding, "I ask Chairman Kim, as a senior figure in the opposition, to embrace all of the Big 3 and focus on reclaiming the Seoul mayoralty."

He pointed out Kim's negative stance toward Ahn, saying "No," and expressed hope that "a beautiful competition will take place so that one unified opposition candidate can take the first step toward regime change." Former leader Hong had a surprise meeting with Ahn at Donghwasa Temple in Daegu on the 11th, and the next day, on the 12th, he also met with former lawmaker Na, urging all of the 'Big 3' to run.
