[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] An elderly person living alone in Hongcheon, Gangwon Province, died in a fire accident.
According to the Gangwon Fire Headquarters on the 16th, at around 7:52 a.m. that day, a fire broke out at a house in Haoan-ri, Hongcheon-gun, Gangwon Province, and Ms. A (90, female) died.
The fire burned down the earthen wall slate house and household goods (estimated damage of 25 million won by the fire department) and was extinguished in about an hour by the firefighters who responded.
It was reported that Ms. A was living alone in the house where the fire occurred.
The police and fire authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
