Seomin, Jomin Pass News Mocked as "Talent Surpassing Serial Killer Woo Beom-gon"

Seomin, Jomin Pass News Mocked as "Talent Surpassing Serial Killer Woo Beom-gon" Professor Seomin from Dankook University is giving a lecture on the topic of the opposition party's path at the 'Myeongbulheojeon Bosuda,' a meeting of first-term members of the People Power Party, held on the morning of November 11 at the National Assembly Members' Office Building in Yeouido, Seoul. [Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Professor Seo Min of Dankook University College of Medicine, co-author of 'The Black Book of Cho Kuk' (A Country Never Experienced Before), criticized Cho Min, the daughter of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, saying "hope has been shattered" upon news of her final passing of the medical licensing exam.

On the 16th, Professor Seo posted a blog titled "The Death Messenger Cho Min is Coming," starting with "There are unusually many older students in medical schools."

Professor Seo said, "When you see someone in their late thirties going to medical school late, you might think, 'What will they do as a doctor at that age?' but that's not the case," adding, "Once you obtain a medical license, it lasts a lifetime."

He continued, "There is almost no way to block a doctor's career path until the doctor voluntarily quits," and pointed out, "Even if a misdiagnosis causes a patient's death, the same applies."

He then referred to the 1982 incident where an active police officer went on a shooting spree committing serial murders. He said, "The person who killed the most people in our country was Police Officer Woo Beom-gon from Uiryeong, Gyeongnam, who shot and killed 62 people," and added, "(However) if a doctor intentionally makes a misdiagnosis, they can easily surpass that record. This is why not only in our country but also in most developed countries, the government controls the number of doctors and monitors whether medical education is properly conducted."

Professor Seo criticized, "But in our country, a talent surpassing Officer Woo has entered the medical market. That name is Cho Min," and said, "Despite being on the brink of repeating several times with a GPA of 1.13 circulating on the internet, by sheer coincidence, 'saving all repeating students' and 'amendments to school regulations' happened one after another, allowing her to eventually graduate."

He added, "I had two hopes thinking, 'Someone like this shouldn't become a doctor.' The first was that if the admission fraud was recognized in the Jung Kyung-shim trial, Busan National University might cancel her admission, but even after the first trial ruling, Busan National University showed no intention of canceling her admission," he pointed out.

He continued, "The second hope was the medical licensing exam. Even though the pass rate for the medical licensing exam in our country is close to 95%, I believed that Cho Min, who is both not smart and likes to play, would naturally be included in the 5% who fail. Unfortunately, this hope was also shattered."

Professor Seo sarcastically said, "If she majors in a field that deals with life, many people will be at the crossroads of life and death," and added, "If she goes into otolaryngology, many will suffer from tinnitus and hearing loss that could have been avoided, and if she majors in dermatology, she will gift people with lifelong skin troubles that won't disappear."

Finally, he said, "When you go to a hospital, check the doctor's name," and added, "Since she might change her name, be sure to check which university she graduated from," reiterating his criticism.
