[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Four new COVID-19 cases related to existing infection routes, including Jungang Hospital, have been confirmed in Gwangju Metropolitan City.
According to Gwangju City on the 16th, as of 6 p.m. that day, four additional cases were confirmed, classified as Gwangju cases 1429 to 1432.
Two of them were linked to Jungang Hospital, and the other two were investigated as related to Gwangju case 1426.
The infection route of Gwangju case 1426 is still under investigation.
The number of new confirmed cases has increased to 14 as of that day.
Among the previously announced 10 cases, eight were identified through proactive testing at Hyojeong Nursing Hospital, and the remaining two were confirmed as unknown infection route and contact with Gwangju case 1403, respectively.
The cumulative number of confirmed cases in the Gwangju area has reached 1,432.
