[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On Saturday the 16th, temperatures will drop sharply, bringing severe cold again.

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "As cold air flows in from the northwest on this day, morning temperatures will drop by about 10 degrees compared to the previous day in many areas."

Daytime temperatures will also remain below freezing, especially in the central regions. Strong winds are expected, making the perceived temperature even lower.

From 6 PM, snow flurries are expected along the Jeolla West Coast and Jeju Island.

The morning low temperatures on this day are forecasted as follows: △Seoul -8°C △Chuncheon -8°C △Gangneung -1°C △Daejeon -5°C △Cheongju -5°C △Daegu -2°C △Gwangju -1°C △Jeonju -3°C △Busan 2°C △Jeju 4°C.

The daytime high temperatures are forecasted as: △Seoul -2°C △Chuncheon 0°C △Gangneung 4°C △Daejeon 2°C △Cheongju 0°C △Daegu 4°C △Gwangju 2°C △Jeonju 1°C △Busan 7°C △Jeju 5°C.

Fine dust levels will be 'normal' across all regions due to smooth atmospheric dispersion.

The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "From early morning, a wind wave advisory has been issued for the central West Sea offshore, northern South West Sea offshore, central East Sea offshore, and northern South East Sea offshore. Winds will blow very strongly at 35~65 km/h (10~18 m/s) with waves reaching 1.5~4.0 meters in the southern South West Sea offshore, southern South West Sea nearshore, southwestern South Sea offshore, Jeju Island waters, and southern South East Sea offshore. Ships navigating or fishing in these areas should exercise extreme caution."
