Action Square Confirms Official Title of Shooting Action Game Project GR as 'Anvil'

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Action Square has confirmed the title of its console and PC platform shooting action game ‘Project GR’ as ‘ANVIL’ and released related information on the Steam page and official SNS on the 15th.

The new game ‘ANVIL’ developed by Action Square is a top-down shooting action genre game that supports real-time multiplayer and allows multiple players to cooperate and progress through stages using a roguelike system.

The main setting within the game, ANVIL, is an organization that searches for ‘Bolt,’ the legacy of alien civilizations scattered across space. Players become ‘Breakers’ who explore the unknown galaxy in search of Bolts. Each galaxy consists of randomly generated planets, and various bosses appear.

Action Square first revealed gameplay footage of ANVIL at the ‘SKT 5GX Cloud Game Online Press Conference’ held in September last year. Players who watched the gameplay video online expressed high expectations for ANVIL’s outstanding graphics and excellent gameplay.

Action Square plans to release ANVIL not only on the next-generation Xbox but also as a cloud game through Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and it is scheduled to launch on Steam in August via the Steam store page.

Son Wonho, the PD in charge of ANVIL’s development, stated, “The official title of Project GR has been confirmed as ANVIL,” and added, “Based on our development know-how from creating previous action games, we will present a highly polished shooting action game that can succeed in the global market.”
