[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Park Byung-ryong, CEO of Paradise, participated in the 'Flower Bucket Challenge' campaign to support flower farmers struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
According to Paradise Group on the 14th, CEO Park purchased air-purifying plants from flower farms and delivered them to 25 welfare facilities in the metropolitan area where Paradise Welfare Foundation's flagship project, 'Clean Heart,' is being implemented.
The Flower Bucket Challenge is a public campaign started to help flower farmers facing economic difficulties due to the cancellation of various events amid the spread of COVID-19. It proceeds in a relay format where the nominated person recommends the next participant. CEO Park joined the campaign after being nominated by Yoon In-ho, Executive Director of Dongwha Pharm.
He said, "It is meaningful to contribute a small effort to flower farmers going through difficult times due to COVID-19," adding, "We will do our best so that our society and neighbors can sprout new hope until the day daily life is restored."
The Clean Heart campaign is a social contribution project by Paradise that conducts on-site sterilization and disinfection volunteer work targeting welfare facilities overlooked in quarantine efforts. Over the past four years, with the participation of Paradise Welfare Foundation and Paradise Group employees, disinfection activities have been carried out at more than 100 welfare centers and living facilities for the disabled.
Meanwhile, CEO Park nominated Moon Yang-kwon, Chairman of Barunson Group, and Ham Ki-ho, CEO of Amazon Web Services, as the next participants in the Flower Bucket Challenge.
