[Asia Economy Reporter La Youngcheol] The Gangwon Cultural Foundation is publicly recruiting organizations and institutions to conduct cultural arts education programs.
The provincial cultural foundation announced on the 14th, "We plan to discover and support cultural arts education programs utilizing local content for residents within the province."
The cultural arts education infrastructure project is hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Gangwon Province, organized by the Gangwon Cultural Foundation's Gangwon Cultural Arts Education Support Center, and cooperated by the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service.
This recruitment will select about 15 organizations and institutions each for the 'Regional Specialized Cultural Arts Education Project' and the 'Kkumdarag Saturday Cultural School Project,' totaling around 30 organizations, supporting a total project budget of 560 million KRW (up to 20 million KRW per organization).
The 'Regional Specialized Cultural Arts Education Project' is a project to establish a sustainable cultural arts ecosystem within Gangwon Province through designing and operating cultural arts education programs that consider regional characteristics.
The 'Kkumdarag Saturday Cultural School Project' aims to provide cultural arts education that allows children, adolescents, and families to communicate and develop creativity and expressiveness using weekends. This year, programs that enable participants' self-discovery and the formation of new communities will be selected.
To facilitate smooth project operation by operating organizations, personnel expenses can be allocated up to 70% of the total budget, an increase from previous limits. To enhance program effectiveness, the number of sessions has been adjusted to a minimum of 4 months and at least 15 sessions, and additional points will be given if a cultural arts educator participates.
To participate in the recruitment, applicants can download the application forms for each project from January 18 to 29, 6 p.m. on the Gangwon Cultural Foundation website (www.gwcf.or.kr) or the Gangwon Cultural Arts Education Support Center website (www.gwarte.or.kr), complete them, and then attach the completed application form within the e-Nara Dream system to apply.
The foundation will operate consultation booths for organizations interested in applying from the 14th to the 18th for three days. Consultations on the 14th and 15th will be held online via ZOOM, and on the 18th, face-to-face consultations will be held at the Gangwon Cultural Foundation conference room.
Those wishing to consult about Gangwon culture must apply in advance using a Naver form and will receive confirmation of the consultation time via text message. For more details, please refer to the Gangwon Cultural Foundation website.
