[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] JW Pharmaceutical is showing an upward trend following news that it is distributing the broad-spectrum disinfectant 'Relyon Virkon Micro,' which has been approved by the Ministry of Environment for its efficacy in inactivating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
At 3:10 PM on the 13th, JW Pharmaceutical was traded on the KOSPI market at 34,600 KRW, up 4.53% from the previous session's close. The stock price even rose to 37,350 KRW during the trading session.
Recently, Relyon Virkon was officially recognized by the Ministry of Environment for its ability to inactivate the COVID-19 virus within one minute. It is a product of LANXESS, a German specialty chemicals manufacturer, and is registered in 25 countries worldwide, including the United States, Japan, Germany, and France. Domestically, it is manufactured by the hygiene specialist company 'Pamcle.' JW Pharmaceutical distributes it mainly to medical institutions and multi-use facilities within Korea.
