[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] On the 11th (local time), LG Electronics opened the 'CES 2021' online exhibition hall under the theme 'Life is ON - Make yourself @ Home.' The online exhibition hall, accessible to anyone via PC and mobile, will operate for five weeks until the 15th of next month.


LG Electronics operates four online exhibition halls to provide customers with a vivid sense of presence online: ▲Internet Broadcasting Hall (Life is ON TV) ▲Virtual Exhibition Hall (Virtual Experience) ▲LG SIGNATURE Brand Hall (LG SIGNATURE in Vegas) ▲MZ Special Hall (Life's Good Studio).


Kim Jinhong, Executive Vice President and Head of LG Electronics Global Marketing Center, emphasized, "In celebration of CES 2021, held digitally for the first time in history, we have prepared an online exhibition hall that surpasses offline exhibition halls. In this rapidly changing era, customers will be able to encounter innovative products and services that help them protect their precious daily lives more safely and enjoy a better life."


Internet Broadcasting Hall Offering Diverse Videos Anytime, Anywhere

LG Electronics operates the Internet Broadcasting Hall Life is ON TV, which conveys the meaning that "customers' precious daily lives continue."


The Internet Broadcasting Hall showcases various videos, including the 'Manifesto' video expressing LG Electronics' commitment to continuous innovation in the new normal era, new product news, expert talks, and documentaries.


In particular, the CES press conference and LG Future Talk, held on the 11th and 12th respectively, will be broadcast live.


The broadcasting hall operates 24 hours a day and supports on-demand services. Customers can freely watch desired videos regardless of location or time.

TV and AV Exhibition Hall Delivering Differentiated Immersion

The first of the virtual exhibition halls is the TV and AV Exhibition Hall. Upon entering, customers encounter the grand OLED sculpture 'Wonder Tree.'


LG Electronics created and filmed an OLED sculpture made by connecting actual OLED flexible signage. By incorporating augmented reality with extended reality (XR) technology, it expresses the infinite possibilities and scalability of OLED, just like the endlessly extending sculpture.


Since 2016, LG Electronics has showcased various forms of OLED sculptures at global exhibitions. These sculptures solidify OLED's position as the next-generation display and have become a symbol of LG Electronics' exhibition halls.


At the LG SIGNATURE OLED R exhibition hall, featuring the world's first rollable OLED TV, the philosophy of LG SIGNATURE OLED R, which redefines users' spaces with its innovative rollable form factor, is introduced.


The OLED exhibition zone is designed around the '4S (Sharp, Speedy, Smooth, Slim)' concept and consists of four themes: movies, sports, gaming, and gallery. It highlights ▲the ultimate home cinema experience with an 83-inch large OLED TV and premium soundbar ▲a thrilling sports viewing experience with OLED's overwhelming picture quality, as if being in an actual stadium ▲an immersive top-tier gaming experience by connecting three 48-inch OLED TVs ▲and a gallery design where the entire TV adheres closely to the wall.


Especially in the sports-themed exhibition hall, LG unveils the 'OLED Evo (model G1),' equipped with a next-generation OLED panel that upgrades OLED element performance. OLED Evo delivers clearer and brighter picture quality by precisely rendering light wavelengths compared to previous models.


LG Electronics also introduces the LG QNED MiniLED, which applies miniLED and proprietary Quantum NanoCell Color technology for superior color reproduction. LG QNED TV represents the pinnacle of light and color technologies among current LCD TVs.


Visitors can experience the LG Magnite, a 163-inch ultra-large home cinema display featuring self-emissive microLED signage made by directly attaching ultra-small LED elements to the screen substrate. LG Magnite applies proprietary front black coating technology on its surface, expressing deeper blacks compared to conventional LED signage. It maximizes contrast ratio and enhances LED element color accuracy to deliver overwhelming picture quality.


LG Electronics also set up a premium audio listening zone featuring soundbars, XBOOM Go speakers, and wireless earphones LG TONE Free. The LG premium audio lineup incorporates acoustic technology from the British luxury audio company Meridian Audio.


In the projector exhibition zone, visitors can see the LG CineBeam 4K Laser, which delivers 4K (3840x2160) UHD resolution on a large screen. This product offers various brightness optimization features such as Iris mode, which adjusts screen brightness according to ambient light, and Adaptive Contrast, which automatically adjusts output based on the playing video, creating a home cinema experience akin to a movie theater.

Premium Home Appliances Leading Global Trends in 'Health, Space, Convenience'

LG Electronics explained that as time spent at home increases, the exhibition hall showcases a healthy and convenient lifestyle at home proposed by LG Electronics' innovative home appliances and AI ThinQ solutions.


To this end, LG Electronics presents an innovative premium home appliance lineup leading trends in health, space, and convenience, including ▲refrigerators with enhanced design and hygiene ▲LG Objet Collection that completes the entire home's interior ▲and a wireless vacuum cleaner with a new concept stand that enables charging, emptying, and storage all at once.


LG Electronics unveils the new LG InstaView refrigerator with enhanced design and hygiene. This product features a glass finish on the entire right upper door equipped with the Knock-On function, offering a clean and luxurious design. Knocking on the door turns on the interior light, allowing easy checking of stored food. It is equipped with a UV nano function that uses UV LED periodically to eliminate up to 99.99% of bacteria that may exist in the water outlet.


The LG Objet Collection, a space interior appliance, is introduced to the global market for the first time. LG Objet Collection harmonizes various appliances used throughout the home, such as the kitchen, living room, and laundry room, to complete a cohesive and integrated interior.


The premium wireless vacuum cleaner LG CordZero A9 new model applies a new concept stand that not only charges the vacuum cleaner but also automatically empties the dustbin with a single touch. The integrated structure allows storage of various accessories inside, enhancing space utilization and offering a neat design.


Introducing Various IT New Products and Robot Business Portfolio for the New Normal Era

LG Electronics introduces various IT new products that provide the best productivity and immersive content experience in the new normal era. The virtual exhibition space is arranged based on actual usage environments such as 'Gaming,' 'Home Office,' and 'Film & Video Professional Studio.'


LG Electronics exhibits five models of three new monitors, including the high-performance gaming monitor 'LG UltraGear,' which won the CES 2021 Innovation Award, and the 'LG UltraWide,' optimized for multitasking.


Additionally, LG unveils five models of the Gram series, including the ultra-lightweight, high-performance LG Gram 16. Notably, LG Electronics designed the ultra-lightweight Gram laptop exhibition concept as a home office space, reflecting the growing trend of remote work.


Alongside this, LG Electronics releases a video presenting a blueprint where humans and robots coexist. The video introduces LG CLOi robots, including the LG CLOi Sanitizing Robot, scheduled for release in the U.S. market in the first half of this year, as well as LG CLOi ChefBot, LG CLOi ServeBot, LG CLOi DeliveryBot, and LG CLOi GuideBot, which assist people in various places such as exhibition halls, restaurants, stores, hospitals, hotels, and offices by cooking, serving, guiding, and delivering.


LG Electronics stated, "LG CLOi envisions the future of robots that help humans focus on more valuable tasks instead of dangerous and repetitive work, and emotionally interact with humans beyond physical limitations."


LG SIGNATURE Brand Hall and Special Hall for MZ Generation Also Draw Attention

LG Electronics, inspired by CES being held annually in Las Vegas, USA, themed the LG SIGNATURE Brand Hall as 'The Great Moments in Vegas.'


The exhibition hall offers a unique spectacle by placing all ultra-premium products, including the LG SIGNATURE OLED R, against the glamorous backdrop of Las Vegas night views.


In the MZ Special Hall, visitors can enjoy various content under the theme 'Diverse and Infinite Possibilities,' including the 'Life's Good' brand film created by the MZ generation, a music campaign video featuring famous musician H.E.R. discovering and collaborating with young musicians to create Life's Good music, and a lookbook introducing products of high interest to the MZ generation in an engaging way.
