Uway Sees Surge of Overseas University Applicants During Domestic Regular Admission Period

This year's CSAT will select only 23% of the total recruitment quota, and with the increase in repeat test takers, the competition is expected to become even fiercer. Meanwhile, the 'Overseas University CSAT Application' conducted by Uway since last year is gaining attention from many examinees because it is independent of domestic regular admission applications and acceptance results.

For overseas universities, there is no limit on the number of applications, and cross-application between humanities and sciences is possible. An official stated, "Although a significant number of applicants are humanities students, many are applying to science programs, and quite a few students who have already been accepted through early admission are also applying."

They continued, "Since it is impossible to take English tests due to COVID-19, official language proficiency scores can be substituted with CSAT English scores or interviews, making it easy for students who had not considered overseas universities to apply. Moreover, scholarship applications are automatically processed upon application, and most admitted students receive scholarships, reducing their financial burden."

Currently, on the Uway Global website, prestigious universities such as the University of Delaware, alma mater of U.S. President Joe Biden, and Rochester Institute of Technology, alma mater of the LG chairman, are selecting Korean students through the CSAT.

In addition, overseas prestigious universities such as Technical University of Munich in Germany, Trinity College Dublin in Ireland, Monash University in Australia, University of Toronto in Canada, University of Manchester in the UK, and Auckland University of Technology in New Zealand can be applied to through the CSAT.

Additionally, 159 universities in the U.S., 43 in Canada, 15 in Singapore, 26 in Australia, 12 in Ireland, 8 in New Zealand, 8 in Germany, and 3 in the UK allow applications through the CSAT, including general GPA-based applications.

On January 16 and 17, Saturday and Sunday, the Uway Online Study Abroad Fair will be held over two days, providing information on admission to eight countries.

For more details, applications can be made through the Uway Global website.
