[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] InfraWare, a company specializing in office software (SW), announced on the 6th that it has been selected as a supplier company in the telecommuting sector of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ ‘K-Non-face-to-face Service Voucher Project.’

The K-Non-face-to-face Service Voucher Project is a government-supported initiative that helps small and venture businesses build non-face-to-face work environments with minimal cost burden in the post-COVID-19 era. Demand companies wishing to adopt non-face-to-face services can use various services provided by supplier companies at 10% of the price. The remaining 90% is provided free of charge by the government.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups additionally selected 281 supplier companies providing non-face-to-face services such as telecommuting, edutech, network, and security solutions to promote the spread of remote work and digitalization. The companies selected as suppliers this time will begin providing full-scale services through the ‘K-Non-face-to-face Voucher Platform’ starting from the end of January this year.

InfraWare was selected as a service supplier in the telecommuting sector and plans to provide the ‘Polaris Office Business’ product.

Polaris Office Business is a cloud office service for enterprises designed for collaboration. It includes features such as real-time co-editing necessary for remote work, team folders, and a security management console. While conducting remote work such as video or phone conferences, multiple team members can simultaneously edit documents without any limit on the number of participants, enabling quick decision-making and continuous work without face-to-face reporting during telecommuting.

An InfraWare official said, “Although demand for non-face-to-face work environments such as telecommuting and remote work has recently increased, small businesses found it difficult to adopt these due to cost burdens.” He added, “With the selection as a supplier company for the K-Non-face-to-face Service Voucher, small businesses using Polaris Office services will be able to build non-face-to-face work and collaboration environments at relatively low costs.”

He continued, “Polaris Office Business, which can be used for 80,000 KRW per person annually, is available at 8,000 KRW per year thanks to the 90% government subsidy. We expect this project to greatly help small businesses innovate their work and improve management.”

Meanwhile, Polaris Office is a cloud office service used by more than 100 million subscribers worldwide. It is a document editing office engine optimized for working with various formats such as MS Office, HWP, and PDF, offering excellent compatibility and convenience. It provides cloud services that can be used regardless of device, including Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS.
