Three New Bus Stops Established for Residents Using Line 7 Myeonmok Station and Seoil University Students... Stops Installed Near Seoil University Main Gate and 154 Gyeomjaero, Jungnang-gu in Front of IBK Bank... Integration of Temporary and City Bus Stops with Operation Info Displayed on Bus Arrival Information Terminal (BIT)
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will establish and integrate new stops for the Jungnang02 village bus by the 4th to enhance public transportation convenience for Jungnang residents.
The Jungnang02 village bus route was finalized and began operation in March 20000, and since then, stops have been operated arbitrarily according to passenger demand.
Additionally, since operation information was not provided on the Bus Information Terminal (BIT), residents often had to wait for the bus without knowing its arrival time, causing many complaints. There were also ongoing requests from residents of villa complexes in Myeonmok-dong, who have difficulty accessing Myeonmok Station, for the establishment of new stops.
The district has prepared various measures to resolve these inconveniences.
First, five arbitrarily stopped Jungnang02 village bus stops will be integrated with city bus stops located within 30 meters. The operation information of the Jungnang02 village bus will be displayed on the Bus Information Terminal (BIT) installed at the existing city bus stops, providing residents with accurate expected arrival information.
Along with this, three additional village bus stops will be newly established.
To facilitate use by students of Seoil University, two-way stops will be established near the school’s main gate. For residents of villa complexes in Myeonmok-dong who have difficulty accessing Myeonmok Station, a village bus stop will be installed in front of IBK Industrial Bank at 154 Gyeomjae-ro, Jungnang-gu.
The three newly established stops will be assigned IDs so that stop information can be checked via the internet or transportation apps.
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “The Jungnang02 village bus has faithfully served as the citizens’ means of transportation, connecting with other transit options while traveling throughout residential complexes in the Myeonmok-dong area for a long time. We expect that this measure will significantly alleviate the inconveniences experienced by users. We hope many people will use the more convenient Jungnang02 village bus route going forward.”
