[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Eun-young] Nana, an actress and former member of the group After School, candidly shared her feelings regarding the controversy over her acceptance speech being labeled a 'nuisance' at the acting awards.

On the 31st, Nana received the Excellence Award in the Mini-Series category at the '2020 KBS Drama Awards' alongside actress Jo Yeo-jeong. Nana appeared in the mini-series "Chulsa-pyo," which aired on KBS 2TV last year.

However, as her acceptance speech lasted nearly five minutes, senior actress Jo Yeo-jeong, who was on stage with her, was seen repeatedly waiting for Nana to finish. After the broadcast ended, criticism surfaced online, with comments suggesting it was a 'nuisance.'

Some netizens responded with remarks such as, "It's too long without any sense. It makes other people's time tight," and "Listing names of people she doesn't know for several minutes looks unpleasant."

In response, Nana expressed her honest opinion on social media.

She said, "This precious award, which I didn't even know when I would receive, I just wanted to express my gratitude," and questioned, "Is a simple and stylish acceptance speech what someone expects?"

She continued, "It feels strange that I have to be cautious about the time for giving thanks on a good day," and added, "I hope there will be more people who can celebrate someone else's good moments."
