[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] The stock price of Sehwa IMC, a tire mold manufacturer, is on the rise. The news of investing in Ventex, which developed a new material capable of eliminating 99.99% of the novel coronavirus, appears to have acted as a positive factor.
At 10:10 AM on the 29th, Sehwa IMC's stock price recorded 564 KRW, up 8.88% from the previous day. On the 23rd, Sehwa IMC announced that it invested 1 billion KRW in Ventex, a chemical and materials specialized company, securing a total of 12,500 shares, which seems to have had a positive impact.
Founded in 1999, Ventex stated that its self-developed antimicrobial and antiviral material "Helsacrine," made from mineral components extracted from natural minerals, can eliminate 99.99% of the COVID-19 virus.
Ventex CEO Kyungchan Ko said, "Tests conducted by Nelson Labs, a U.S. microbiology testing specialist, on masks and fabric for clothing sprayed with liquid Helsacrine and disinfectant sprays showed antiviral efficacy values (Mv) at a level capable of eliminating 99.99% of the COVID-19 virus. Existing sterilizing disinfectant sprays have an instantaneous sterilization function of 99.9%, but their antimicrobial function drops to 14% after drying. However, Helsacrine disinfectant spray maintains 99.9% antimicrobial function even 4 hours after drying," he emphasized.
