Financial Security Institute Designated as Electronic Signature Certification Evaluation Agency under the Electronic Signature Act

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The Financial Security Institute announced on the 23rd that it has been designated by the Ministry of Science and ICT as an electronic signature certification evaluation agency to assess whether electronic signature certification providers comply with the "Electronic Signature Certification Business Operation Standards," and has officially commenced its operations.

Through electronic signature certification evaluation, electronic signature certification providers recognized for compliance with the operation standards can not only verify the reliability of their electronic signature security and safety but also use this as an opportunity to promote themselves externally.

The electronic signature certification evaluation primarily focuses on verifying three areas: ▲ the safety and reliability of electronic signature certification ▲ administrative, physical, and technical protection measures of the electronic signature certification providers ▲ and personal information protection.

The Financial Security Institute has secured the necessary expertise for evaluation tasks by establishing a dedicated organization and deploying specialized personnel to ensure smooth execution of the electronic signature certification evaluation agency's duties.
