[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Samsung Card announced on the 22nd that it will hold an event for customers who newly issue the 'National Happiness Samsung Card V2,' which allows integrated use of government-supported vouchers for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.
Until January 31, customers who newly issue the 'National Happiness Samsung Card V2' through the Samsung Card website or application (app), apply for the event, and use the card at least once by February 15 will receive a kids' backpack.
The 'National Happiness Samsung Card V2' offers a 7% payment day discount at department stores such as Shinsegae Department Store, as well as Coupang, Market Kurly, discount stores, daycare centers, academies, hospitals, and gas stations. It also provides a 3,000 KRW payment day discount on streaming services and a 1.5% payment day discount overseas.
Shinsegae Department Store partnership services are also provided. These include up to six 5% discount coupons per month, two free parking tickets per month, and accumulation of 2 Shinsegae Points per 1,000 KRW spent at Shinsegae Department Store.
Starting January next year, using the 'National Happiness Samsung Card V2' at the Shinsegae Department Store Cultural Center will grant a 50% on-site discount for one course. The cultural center discount benefit is provided if there is monthly spending at Shinsegae Department Store.
Additionally, from March next year, payments for daycare fees and government subsidies for kindergarten tuition will be possible with the 'National Happiness Samsung Card V2.' Both the domestic-only and international (Mastercard) versions of the 'National Happiness Samsung Card V2' have no annual fee.
A Samsung Card official said, "We prepared this event for new customers of the 'National Happiness Samsung Card V2,' which allows integrated use of government vouchers for pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare," adding, "We plan to continuously provide useful benefits to customers."
