The Love of Female Professors for Elderly Living Alone Has Not Faded for 15 Years

Dongseo University Female Professors' Association Donates 'Love Yogurt' Fund
Started in 2006, Supporting Elderly Living Alone in Jure 2-dong Annually

Professors from the Female Professors' Association at Dongseo University visited the Jurye 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center to hold a donation event, delivering love-filled yogurt for elderly people living alone.

The Female Professors' Association of Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk), led by Chair Professor Park Bu-mi, donated 1 million won in 'Love Yogurt' funds to the Jurye 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center (Director Bong Eun-jung) on the 18th.

The 'Love Yogurt' fund, ongoing since 2006, is used to support yogurt for elderly people living alone in Jurye 2-dong for one year. The yogurt delivery ladies also play a role in checking on the well-being of the elderly through their deliveries.

Professor Park Bu-mi said, "The small sincerity of female professors gathered together is used for the welfare of our community, which gives us a sense of fulfillment. We are also grateful to the Jurye 2-dong community office, which is working hard for the welfare of local residents."

Director Bong Eun-jung said, "We are thankful for the great help from the Dongseo University Female Professors' Association every year. This year, in a situation where the safety of vulnerable elderly people is more concerning due to COVID-19, the warm touch has been delivered without being forgotten, which is a great strength," adding, "The 'Love Yogurt Project' by the Dongseo University Female Professors' Association is a beautiful act of the university delivering warmth to the local community."
