Implemented RPA System Across All Affiliates, Automated Processing Through Robot Learning
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hansol Group has introduced the 'RPA (Robotic Process Automation)' system across all its affiliates and is building a smart working environment.
RPA, also called process automation or robotic process automation, is a smart technology that teaches robots to automatically handle simple repetitive tasks. It prevents errors in simple tasks that previously required significant time and effort from humans and reduces the time spent, allowing focus on more valuable work. Recently, it has been adopted in various industries such as finance, distribution, and manufacturing.
Last year, Hansol Group first piloted RPA at its affiliates Hansol Paper and Hansol Technics. In the case of Hansol Paper, RPA was initially introduced in 59 tasks including finance, purchasing, and accounting, resulting in an average time reduction of 52% compared to the previous time spent. Hansol Technics applied RPA only to simple order processing tasks, reducing the annual work time from 924 hours to 24 hours, saving about 97% of the work time.
Accordingly, Hansol Group expanded the introduction of RPA to all affiliates such as Hansol Homedeco and Hansol Logistics starting this year. A Hansol Group official said, "By replacing simple repetitive tasks with RPA, not only has work time been reduced, but the accuracy of task processing has also improved," adding, "Expanding RPA adoption across all affiliates will help employees enhance work efficiency and focus on creative tasks, thereby contributing to improving employees' quality of life by building a smart work environment."
A service utilizing RPA technology has also been launched. Hansol PNS, an RPA specialist company affiliated with Hansol Group, partnered with the integrated communication expert group HyperM to launch 'Automon,' the first RPA media monitoring service in Korea, last month.
Since September, Hansol PNS signed an MOU with HyperM and developed Automon, a media monitoring service applying RPA technology. The service will be actively provided to government ministries, public institutions, domestic and international companies, and major PR and advertising agencies. Automon breaks away from the traditional manual information collection method and is a service that dramatically improves cost and time in information gathering through RPA technology. By entrusting simple repetitive tasks to robots, it allows focus on more valuable work, further enhancing work efficiency.
Hansol PNS is the domestic solution provider for UiPath, the world's number one RPA solution company, and possesses technology in the RPA field. Combining HyperM's media expertise, it can provide a highly competitive media monitoring service and is expected to respond quickly and flexibly to the changing media environment.
