Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team Signs Business Agreement with Berry Culture to Prepare Charity Golf Event


‘Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team,’ which includes many celebrities who are skilled at or enjoy playing golf, and Berry Culture Co., Ltd., the operator of the donation shopping platform BerryStore, signed a business agreement on December 11.


The Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team, consisting of about 50 celebrities including actor Lee Young-beom as the team leader and actor Kim Jung-gyun as the deputy leader, was formed by celebrities united by loyalty and affection, inspired by their participation in the Dokdo Love Golf Tournament organized by the Dokdo Love Movement Headquarters. They have actively participated in charity golf tournaments to help underprivileged children and neighbors in need, as well as activities such as product promotion certification shots and video filming to support the coexistence of small and medium-sized enterprises. They also actively participate in various golf tournaments with the general public, such as the Korea Office Workers Golf Tournament, approaching others not just as celebrities but with strong bonds of loyalty and affection.


The Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team, which includes many celebrities, is also a warm-hearted organization that frequently holds charity events such as charity bazaars, comedy performances, and singer performances by donating the talents of its members. This business agreement was signed with the purpose of practicing sharing through talent donation, and the Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team plans to attend the charity round prepared by Yeongam Acro Country Club and Berry Culture to help raise a donation fund of 10 million won.


Berry Culture, the operator of the online platform BerryStore, has been raising donation funds by selling cherished items and talents of celebrities, including YouTube stars. This new method of raising donations by selling treasured belongings or talents has received much praise.


Since Berry Culture sells celebrity cherished items including talents as products, it has maintained close relationships with many celebrities. They plan to expand the participation format, which had been conducted individually, to group participation through the business agreement with the Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team.


Moreover, they plan to introduce a new product called ‘Charity Rounding with Celebrities,’ which can be purchased through an application. In addition to talent donations such as singing and MCing, they aim to increase the scale of donation funds by selling ‘Celebrity Rounding’ products that can attract participation from middle-aged and older adults.


According to the Korea Leisure Industry Research Institute, the number of golf course users in Korea last year approached 39 million. Notably, the age group of users, mainly middle-aged and older adults, is gradually getting younger, with a remarkable increase in relatively young users in their late 20s to early 30s. This is also why interest is growing in the Celebrity Rounding products newly introduced by BerryStore, starting with the Acro CC charity golf rounding scheduled for January, following the business agreement with the Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team.


The Acro CC charity golf rounding, which will showcase the first result of this business agreement, is scheduled to be held four times in January 2021. Five celebrities will attend each session and enjoy playing 18 holes of golf with all participants. The celebrities attending, including members of the Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team, plan to raise a total donation fund of 10 million won over the four sessions instead of receiving any participation fees. To this end, Yeongam Acro CC has promised to sponsor a significant portion of the event expenses, and Berry Culture will support the event organization staff in the form of talent donation.


The charity golf rounding, prepared jointly by the Good Shot Celebrity Golf Team, Yeongam Acro CC, and Berry Culture (Berry Store), will be launched as a special product at Acro CC at the end of 2020.
