[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] In Gaepyeong Hanok Village, Jigok-myeon, Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, village residents are gathered closely together, making traditional Korean sweets (Hangwa) using the old-fashioned method of baking on heated pebbles.

The Gaepyeong Hanok Village Pebble Hangwa is made by kneading glutinous rice and beans directly produced in the clean area of Jirisan, and instead of frying in oil, it is baked on pebbles heated by hot firewood, resulting in a savory and mild flavor that is exquisite.
