[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] LG Uplus announced on the 10th that the cumulative number of users accessing the online education platform for employees, 'U+ Baeummadang,' exceeded 2 million from January to November this year.
U+ Baeummadang is a mobile learning platform exclusively for employees developed by LG Uplus in 2018, used not only for job training but also as a place for learning 'Digital Transformation (DX).' It features video content of work know-how created directly by members by discovering excellent cases from the field. Currently, about 350 sales field contents and about 150 operation field contents are registered.
This year, to strengthen DX learning on U+ Baeummadang, the 'DX Inssaight' channel was launched. The 70+ contents uploaded on this channel introduce DX cases of global companies and present DX know-how that can be applied to work through videos and card news.
To expand the DX educational content available on U+ Baeummadang, LG Uplus opened the 'U+Seer Lounge' last month in the lobby on the first floor of the Yongsan building in Seoul, which will be used as the U+ Baeummadang Live Creator Room and mini studio. Interview or dialogue-style video content will be filmed here, and 'Baeummadang Live,' a live broadcast by 1-2 person creators targeting employees, will also be streamed.
Lee Gi-won, head of talent development at LG Uplus, said, "As non-face-to-face education through U+ Baeummadang has become active this year, employees' opportunities for DX learning have also increased," adding, "We will discover easy-to-understand DX cases that can be used to change working methods and produce user-friendly content to present to employees."
