[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Comedian-turned-actress Kim Hyun-sook (42) has separated from her husband of the same age after 6 years of marriage.
On the 9th, a representative from Kim Hyun-sook's agency ELLIZE stated, "Kim Hyun-sook is currently undergoing divorce mediation," adding, "It is understood that they separated due to personality differences."
Regarding custody of the couple's son, the representative said, "The son will be raised by Kim Hyun-sook."
Kim Hyun-sook married her partner of the same age in July 2014 and gave birth to a son six months later.
Earlier this year, Kim Hyun-sook and her family appeared on TV Chosun's 'Taste of Wife,' revealing their life in Jeju Island.
Meanwhile, Kim Hyun-sook debuted as a comedian in 2005 and gained recognition through the tvN series 'Ugly Miss Young-ae.' Recently, she appeared in the MBC TV drama 'Would You Like to Have Dinner Together?'.
