Buksi Partners with 'Naver Pay' to Provide "Airport Transfer Service"

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Buxi, a subsidiary of Gukbo, announced on the 7th that it has partnered with Naver Pay to enable payment for airport transfer services via Naver Pay. The company is also working on partnerships for various Buxi services such as golf and domestic travel.

Recently, with the introduction of the 'Travel Bubble' system that relaxes entry restrictions between countries with excellent responses to COVID-19, there is growing anticipation for the recovery of tourism demand. The Travel Bubble is a system under which travelers between two countries that have signed an agreement are exempt from restrictions on travel purposes or routes, as well as facility or self-quarantine requirements, and several countries are currently negotiating this.

In particular, with the Tokyo Olympics scheduled for next summer, travel demand is expected to surge. On the 2nd, the Japanese government announced that it plans to accept foreign spectators who have reserved tickets for the Olympics next year with virtually no restrictions while implementing COVID-19 measures. Tourists who submit a negative COVID-19 certificate and use a dedicated app will be able to engage in activities immediately after entry without a two-week quarantine, and there will be no restrictions on the use of public transportation.

Currently, besides airport transfer services, Buxi is providing the ‘Buxi-golf’ service, where professional chauffeurs offer differentiated golf services in response to the COVID-19 situation, and the domestic travel service ‘Buxi-trip.’ It is also well known that thorough disinfection of vehicles and drivers is conducted before each operation, allowing customers to use the services safely without concerns about COVID-19.
