[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Dongbu Construction has been selected as the contractor for the Jeonju Jonggwangdae 2 District redevelopment project.

According to Dongbu Construction on the 5th, the Jonggwangdae 2 District association selected Dongbu Construction as the contractor at the general competitive bidding meeting held that day. The competitor, Daelim Industrial, lost to Dongbu Construction by 18 votes.

Accordingly, Dongbu Construction will build a residential complex with 3 basement floors and 15 above-ground floors in the traditional residential area of Inhudoong 1-ga 171, Jeonju. The complex will consist of 7 buildings with 530 households, along with auxiliary and welfare facilities. The construction period is 2 years after actual groundbreaking. The building coverage ratio is 23.51%, and the floor area ratio is 199.99%.

A Dongbu Construction official explained the reason for selecting the contractor, saying, "We have supplied landmark apartments in key Seoul areas such as Gangnam Daechi and Banpo," and added, "It seems the association members recognized our experience in building the best apartments and our top alternative designs for specialization."

The Jonggwangdae 2 District, which Dongbu Construction will build, is located between Jeonju City Hall and Jeonju Station, making it an optimal residential area. Additionally, Jeonju High School and Jeonbuk National University are nearby, providing excellent school districts.

Dongbu Construction emphasized, "We will accelerate efforts to enhance brand value by creating apartments that coexist with local residents, with differentiated quality and cutting-edge technology, resulting in apartments of exceptional dignity."
