[Breaking] 20 Confirmed COVID-19 Cases Including Residents at Nursing Home in Bupyeong-gu

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] On the 5th, Bupyeong-gu, Incheon City announced that a COVID-19 cluster infection occurred at a nursing home in the district.

When resident A (Bupyeong-gu case number 253) tested positive for COVID-19 during a diagnostic test conducted prior to hospitalization due to health issues, Bupyeong-gu conducted mass testing on 47 people including 28 nursing home residents, 17 caregivers, and 2 social service agents. Among them, 18 people including A tested positive. Additionally, 2 family members of the residents were confirmed positive, bringing the total number of confirmed cases related to this nursing home to 20.

The quarantine authorities cohort-isolated 25 people, including 13 residents and 12 caregivers, excluding those confirmed positive, and placed 2 undecided-status staff members and 2 social service agents under self-quarantine.
