[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Comedian and musical actor Hong Rok-gi clarified that the social media account mentioning BJ Cheol-gu was a fake.

On the 4th, Hong Rok-gi's agency, Saenggak-eul Boyeojuneun Entertainment, stated, "Hong Rok-gi does not have a Twitter account," adding, "We have no plans to take action regarding the impersonation account."

Earlier, AfreecaTV BJ Cheol-gu, during an internet live broadcast the previous day, responded harshly to another BJ who said he looked like "Hong Rok-gi" by saying, "Park Ji-sun, go f*** yourself." After viewers criticized him for insulting the late Park Ji-sun, Cheol-gu explained, "I meant Park Mi-sun, not Park Ji-sun," which further fueled the controversy.

Subsequently, some media outlets reported that "Hong Rok-gi expressed displeasure on his Twitter, saying, 'I saw a lot of missed calls since morning and wondered what was going on. Cheol-gu? What is this now?'"

However, this report was found to be false. The impersonation account contained photos and phrases that made people mistake it for Hong Rok-gi, causing misunderstandings among netizens.

Upon hearing that there was news of him posting on SNS, Hong Rok-gi reportedly said, "I heard there were many missed calls, but this is the first time I have talked because of this," and added, "I'm not a handsome guy, right? I'm not the type to care much about these things, so I just laughed it off."

Meanwhile, comedian Park Mi-sun expressed anger on her Instagram the same day, posting, "Who are you? Before criticizing my appearance, look in the mirror first. I've been through all sorts of things in life. Think before you speak; that's why you have a brain."
