SK Broadband Acquires SK Telink's B2B Business for 21 Billion KRW SK Telecom's Business-to-Business (B2B) Services



[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] SK Broadband will acquire SK Telink's B2B business, including general telephone and nationwide representative number services for enterprises.


On the 4th, SK Broadband announced that it decided to sign a business transfer agreement to acquire SK Telink's B2B business for 21 billion KRW.


SK Telink provides corporate services such as international calls, MVNO, nationwide representative numbers, and enterprise internet telephony. Among these, only the corporate services will be transferred to SK Broadband.


SK Broadband decided to acquire SK Telink's B2B business to strengthen market competitiveness through the reorganization of SK's ICT family companies' B2B businesses, focus on B2B capabilities, and expand its scope. It will also acquire 50 employees involved in SK Telink's related operations.


Regarding the business acquisition, SK Broadband plans to file a corporate merger report and obtain permits from the Fair Trade Commission and the Ministry of Science and ICT on the 11th, and complete the acquisition process by the end of March next year.


SK Broadband stated, "By focusing on B2B capabilities and expanding our scope, we will strengthen market competitiveness, and SK Telink will secure growth momentum through concentration of the company's resources and capabilities, resulting in a win-win situation."
