[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] It has been confirmed that an employee working at Incheon International Airport Corporation tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 4th that employee A, who works in the East Wing of the airport terminal, tested positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
According to the epidemiological investigation, it was determined that A was infected by a spouse who had previously tested positive.
Incheon Airport disinfected the East Wing area of the terminal, including locations included in A’s movement path. Additionally, about 300 employees who had contact with A were instructed to wait at home until their test results were available.
However, it was reported that the West Wing of the terminal, the Joint Office Building, and the passenger terminal are operating normally.
