[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Kumho Industrial has introduced a new housing floor plan design to respond to the changing residential culture due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 4th, Kumho Industrial announced that it has newly developed a housing floor plan design called 'CURE SPACE,' considering the 'post-COVID' era, including virus blocking and telecommuting.
This floor plan consists of the 'CURE PANTRY' (clean room + pantry space), which can block viruses coming from outside, and the 'CURE OFFICE,' which provides a comfortable telecommuting space.
The CURE PANTRY is a separate space created at the entrance path from the front door to the living room. It is equipped with an air shower purifier, brush purifier, and clothing care device. When going out, viruses attached to the body and clothes can be shaken off here, fundamentally blocking the inflow of external viruses into the residential space.
The CURE OFFICE is a separate space for telecommuting and homeschooling. As telecommuting is expected to spread in the post-COVID era, a new housing floor plan and design have been applied, departing from the conventional three-room layout. It can be used as a separate space for work or education by connecting the dressing room and bathroom.
CURE SPACE was pilot-applied to some units of 'Yeoju Station Kumho Eoullim Vertis' in Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province, which was sold in March, and will be continuously expanded to Kumho Eoullim complexes to be sold in the future.
A representative from Kumho Industrial's product design team said, "The residential lifestyle as well as the way of working are changing due to COVID-19," adding, "We will introduce customized products that lead market changes and trends through continuous social phenomenon analysis and research."
