'Gwanak-gu Social Economy Hanmadang' Held Untact


[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Junhee) will hold the 'Gwanak-gu Social Economy Festival' for three days from the 7th to the 9th using online platforms such as YouTube and SNS.


Planned and hosted by the Gwanak Social Economy Integrated Support Center, this event was prepared to boost the pride of social economy entrepreneurs and to overcome the crisis together through encouragement and support among enterprises amid the difficult economic conditions caused by COVID-19.


The event will begin at 9 a.m. on the 7th with a social economy commemorative ceremony consisting of congratulatory speeches and awards for meritorious persons, followed by various programs including social economy lectures and celebratory performances. It can be viewed online through the 'Gwanak Sageong' and 'Live Gwanak' YouTube channels.


The social economy lectures will cover five topics: ▲ Introduction to the Social Economy Basic Act (Juseun Dongjak, Manager Shinhyun) ▲ Social Economy and Care (Soojung Kim, CEO of Eoullim Co., Ltd.) ▲ Finance for Social Economy Enterprises (Minsu Kang, Director of Seoul Cooperative Support Center) ▲ Stabilizing Corporate Spaces through Social Housing (Dooyoung Jung, Chairman of Seobom Parents Cooperative) ▲ Regional Primary Care System and Medical Cooperatives (Sangwon Park, Chief Pharmacist of Neulpum Pharmacy). These lectures will be uploaded to the YouTube channel at 9 a.m. on the 8th.


On the last day, there will be celebratory performances including fusion gugak and performances and talks by four teams. From 6:30 p.m., the event will be broadcast live on YouTube for two hours, allowing anyone to watch in real time.


Mayor Park Junhee said, “We have prepared this event to support overcoming COVID-19 and to navigate the crisis together during this unprecedented infectious disease outbreak when everyone is facing difficulties.” He added, “I hope this event will be an opportunity for social economy entrepreneurs to encourage each other and enjoy together, and we will do our best to revitalize the economy and contribute to balanced regional development in the future.”
