[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is recruiting participants for the '2021 Winter Vacation University Student Administrative Experience Group' for university students residing in the district until the 14th.
The University Student Administrative Experience Group is a program operated every summer and winter vacation to provide local university students with opportunities to experience public service through working at public institutions, helping them with career choices.
Eligibility requires applicants to be enrolled or on leave from a two-year or higher university with an address in Gwangjin-gu as of December 7. Students enrolled in the Korea National Open University, cyber universities, credit bank system, and graduate students are excluded.
The recruitment quota is a total of 80 students: 70 through general selection and 10 through special selection for recipients of basic national livelihood security and lower-income groups. The first group will work from January 4, and the second group from February 1, each working 40 students for 20 days.
Selected students will be assigned to the district office, community service centers, health centers, libraries, etc., performing auxiliary tasks related to district administration such as data management and civil service guidance. They will work five days a week from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., receiving a daily wage of 53,510 KRW plus paid holiday allowances.
Students wishing to participate can apply through the 'Online Application' menu on the district website by the 14th, and the selection results can be checked on the district website on the 15th.
Selected students must additionally submit supporting documents such as a certificate of enrollment (or leave) and a resident registration copy.
