[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Major entrance exam companies predicted that in the 2021 College Scholastic Ability Test held on the 3rd, a raw score of 87-89 in the Korean language section and 89-92 in Mathematics Type A would earn a top grade (1st grade).


As of 7 PM that day, the expected cut-off scores for the 1st grade in the Korean language section were 87 points by Uway, Megastudy, and Etoos, and 89 points by Jongro Academy Haneul Education.


The cut-off scores for the 2nd grade in the Korean language section were estimated at 80 points by Megastudy and Uway, 83 points by Jongro Academy, and 78 points by Etoos.


For Mathematics Type A, mainly taken by natural science students, the expected cut-off scores for the 1st grade were 92 points by Jongro Academy, Uway, and Megastudy, and 89 points by Etoos.


For the 2nd grade cut-off, Jongro Academy and Megastudy expected 84 points, Uway 83 points, and Etoos 81 points.


For Mathematics Type B, mainly taken by humanities students, the expected 1st grade cut-off scores were 92 points by Jongro Academy, 89 points by Megastudy, and 88 points by Uway and Etoos.


The expected 2nd grade cut-off scores were 88 points by Jongro Academy, and 84 points by Uway, Megastudy, and Etoos.


Earlier, the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education's admissions team also announced expected 1st grade cut-off scores by section: 92-93 points for Korean, 92 points for Mathematics Type A, and 88 points for Type B.
