[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Kwon Young-jin, Mayor of Daegu, who is recovering at home after stomach cancer surgery, left an encouraging message to examinees on his SNS (social networking service) on the 2nd, one day before the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) day.


At around 5 p.m. that day, Mayor Kwon wrote on his Facebook account, "To the examinees who have worked hard for a long time despite difficult circumstances and to the parents who have worked hard to support them, thank you very much. I hope you take the exam in the best condition tomorrow as you have prepared with your best efforts."


He added, "Although the recent COVID-19 quarantine situation in Daegu is stable, we will not let our guard down and will do our best in quarantine measures for you."


He also said, "It is said that the stronger the wind blows, the higher the kite flies. Although you have to take the CSAT and entrance exams under difficult conditions, I believe that you can achieve greater dreams by using this time as a stepping stone."


Meanwhile, Mayor Kwon Young-jin, who underwent stomach cancer surgery at Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital on November 20, was discharged on the 27th after a week and is currently recovering.
