[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] The Personal Information Protection Commission announced on the 1st that it has revised and published a commentary on the Personal Information Protection Act to make the related laws easier for everyone to understand.
The revised commentary includes the changes to the Personal Information Protection Act following the amendment of the "Data 3 Laws" (amended Personal Information Protection Act, Credit Information Act, and Information and Communications Network Act) in February this year.
The Personal Information Protection Commission publicly released the draft commentary to the public on October 6 and received a total of 147 opinions from industry, civic groups, and the legal community, which were reflected in the commentary.
The commentary can be downloaded for free from the Personal Information Protection Commission website and the Personal Information Protection Portal starting from the 2nd.
Yoon Jong-in, Chairperson of the Personal Information Protection Commission, said, "I hope this will greatly help the public, industry, and academia to understand and utilize the Personal Information Protection Act."
