[Photo] Seongjanghyeon, Yongsangu District Mayor, Receives Award for Correct Public Document Writing

[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Yongsan-gu District Office (Mayor Seongjang Hyun) received the 2020 Public Writing Excellence Award in the Communication category from the Woori Writing Promotion Institute (Director Son Suho) on November 30.

The award ceremony was held in the district office's main conference room, attended by Mayor Seongjang Hyun, Secretary General Yang Youngchae of the Woori Writing Promotion Institute, and three others.

This award has been given since 2013 to local government heads who use correct and easy-to-understand public writing in frontline administration.

The district was recognized for writing various notices read by residents in clear and accurate language.

The Woori Writing Promotion Institute plays a role in promoting communication through easy and accurate writing by reviewing public texts, providing education on proper public writing, and proofreading public language.

Mayor Seongjang Hyun of Yongsan-gu said, “Correct and easy writing brightens the future of the Republic of Korea,” adding, “More than 1,300 public officials will work together to express even a single notice more clearly and accurately.”
