[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Doosan Infracore announced on the 1st that its smart construction solution "Site Cloud," launched last May, is showing strong performance.
Doosan Infracore recently signed a contract for the use of "Site Cloud" with Dongbu Construction, which is in charge of Section 2-1 of the land development project in Geomdan District, Incheon, and also announced that it has signed a contract with Ssangyong Construction, which is carrying out the adjacent Section 2-2 construction.
Site Cloud is a comprehensive construction site management solution that integrates 3D drone surveying, earthwork volume calculation, and construction planning into a dedicated cloud platform to establish optimal work plans and efficiently support on-site operations.
It can reduce construction surveying and earthwork volume calculations, which traditionally took up to two weeks, to within 1 to 2 days, and improve productivity through systematic construction management.
The land areas for the recently awarded Sections 2-1 and 2-2 of the Geomdan District land development project in Incheon are 1.89 million ㎡ and 2.18 million ㎡, respectively. The company emphasized that since there are many mountainous areas within the site, making traditional surveying and earthwork volume calculations difficult, they expect significant benefits from utilizing Site Cloud’s 3D drone surveying and earthwork analysis platform.
Doosan Infracore will provide 3D modeling, earthwork volume analysis, and progress management services to the construction companies through the Site Cloud platform after drone surveying of each project site. In addition to project management tasks, they plan to gradually expand the scope of services to meet customer needs, such as earthwork cost estimation at the bidding stage and earthwork volume verification between clients and contractors.
A Doosan Infracore official stated, “The excellent cost-effectiveness and utility of Site Cloud are being recognized in the market,” and added, “We are receiving inquiries from advanced markets such as Europe and plan to enter overseas markets in the future.”
