Daejeon City "Test Immediately If Examinees Show Suspicious Symptoms... Support for CSAT Attendance"

[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is supporting rapid diagnostic testing for exam takers and enabling COVID-19 positive and quarantined test takers to take the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) as part of special quarantine measures for the exam.

The city announced on the 1st that if a CSAT test taker experiences abnormal health symptoms and undergoes a COVID-19 diagnostic test, the test results will be available on the same day, and those confirmed positive will be supported to take the exam in a separately prepared space.

To this end, the city will operate health center screening clinics on an emergency basis until 10 PM on the evening before the exam, December 2nd.

Additionally, test takers confirmed positive for COVID-19 will take the exam at a designated hospital prepared by the city (Daejeon Veterans Hospital), and those subject to quarantine will be able to take the exam at a separate designated test site (Shintanjin High School).

This year, a total of 15,074 test takers from 35 schools in the region are expected to take the CSAT.

Jung Hae-gyo, Director of the Health and Welfare Bureau of the city, said, “We will strive to provide equal opportunities for the CSAT to test takers who are confirmed positive for COVID-19 or classified as close contacts and quarantined. We urge all test takers with suspicious symptoms to be sure to get diagnostic testing at health center screening clinics.”
