Gangnam-gu Reports 11 New COVID-19 Cases

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 30th, 11 new COVID-19 cases (numbers 507 to 517) were confirmed in Gangnam-gu.

Cases 508 and 513 were infected through contact with confirmed cases from other regions, while cases 510, 511, and 514 were in contact with previously confirmed Gangnam-gu residents. Case 515 tested positive at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center on the same day after showing symptoms such as coughing.

Cases 507, 509, 512, 516, and 517 are students of an English tutoring academy located in Daechi-dong, where two confirmed cases were reported the previous day. Gangnam-gu is conducting a detailed epidemiological investigation to identify additional contacts.

Starting December 1, the quarantine authorities will maintain the current Level 2 social distancing in the metropolitan area but will strengthen quarantine measures for certain high-risk facilities.

Jung Soon-gyun, the district mayor, stated, "I urge all residents to keep in mind that you and your family can be infected at any time and to strictly adhere to the quarantine guidelines."
