Samsung Electronics announced on the 30th that it has agreed to lease some land and buildings at Samsung Display's Cheonan plant in Cheonan, Chungnam, from February 1, 2021, to January 31, 2023, for an annual rent of 31.9 billion KRW.
Samsung Electronics is utilizing part of the production line at Samsung Display's plant, which previously manufactured small- and medium-sized liquid crystal display (LCD) panels, as a cutting-edge semiconductor package production base.
