Player Kim Jaehyun Equipped with Hankook Tire Wins CJ Super Race Final Round

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Kim Jaehyun, a driver of 'Bolgass Motorsports' equipped with Hankook Tire & Technology racing tires, won the final round 8 of the '2020 CJ Logistics Superrace Championship (hereinafter CJ Superrace)' held on the 29th at Yongin Everland Speedway.


In round 8, Kim achieved first place in the qualifying session, started from pole position, and never relinquished the lead throughout the final race, crossing the finish line first. With this victory, Kim secured his second win of the season.


This year's CJ Superrace was held without spectators due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. Although the entire schedule was delayed and extended into winter, the event concluded successfully. Hankook Tire finished the season with four wins out of eight rounds.

Kim Jongkyum of the Atlas BX Motorsports team, who held the driver championship title for two consecutive years until last season, recorded a total of 100 points in the driver championship this season, finishing in third place overall. Choi Myunggil, also from the same team, who returned to Korea after competing in overseas circuits such as the F3 German Championship and GP2 Series, secured second place with 101 points in his rookie season.


Additionally, the Atlas BX Motorsports team, which won the team and driver championship titles for three consecutive years until last year, finished second in the team championship points, looking forward to the next season. The next season is scheduled to start with the opening round on May 16 at Everland Speedway and will consist of a total of eight rounds.


Hankook Tire is leading the development of global motorsports culture by supplying racing tires or sponsoring participating teams in about 50 global motorsports events worldwide.


Recently, Hankook Tire was selected as the exclusive tire supplier partner for electric vehicles starting from the 2022-23 season, when the third generation race cars are introduced in the world's most prestigious electric car racing event, the 'ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.'
