[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] It is a cheer for the comeback victory of Christian Bezuidenhout (South Africa), ranked 61st in the world.

On the 30th (Korean time), at the Leopard Creek Golf Club (par 72, 7,249 yards) in Malelane, South Africa, the final day of the European Tour Alfred Dunhill Championship (total prize money 1.5 million euros), he shot 3 under par to complete a dominant 4-stroke victory (14 under par 274). This marked his second career win on the European stage after 1 year and 5 months since the Andalucia Masters in June last year. The winner's prize money was 252,639 euros (approximately 330 million KRW). He rose to 9th place (1,383 points) in the Race to Dubai rankings.

Bezuidenhout started in 3rd place, 3 strokes behind, and recorded six birdies, one bogey, and one double bogey. After his first birdie on the 3rd hole (par 4), he gained momentum with consecutive birdies on the 5th and 6th holes, but lost all the strokes he had gained with a double bogey on the 7th hole (par 3) and a bogey on the 8th hole (par 4). However, in the back nine, he showed resilience with a birdie on the 11th hole (par 4) and consecutive birdies on the 14th and 15th holes, leading the comeback. His 'pinpoint iron shots' with a green hit rate of 72.2% and 'stingy putting' with only 27 putts in the round stood out.

He is a third-year player who joined the regular tour in 2018. His best result this year was 2nd place at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic in January. At the Masters, which ended on the 16th, he participated as a player ranked within the top 50 in the world at the end of 2019 and finished tied for 38th. "Something truly amazing happened," he exclaimed, "This was a tournament I always wanted to win." Adrian Meronk (Poland), who was the leader the day before, struggled with 4 over par and dropped to a tie for 2nd place (10 under par 278).
