Dongmyeong University Department of Advertising and Public Relations, 'Dongmyeong Gwanghong Talk Concert'
Inviting Alumni Corporate PR Experts to Share Employment Know-How
Mentoring Classes Open from the 30th, 'Extracurricular' Pro
On November 27, the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Dongmyung University held a talk concert. Seniors recorded videos sharing their job and career experiences with juniors, which will be released starting from the 30th.
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] How did seniors open the door to employment in such a difficult job market?
The juniors' interest lies in the seniors' achievements, and the seniors must feel affection for the juniors. When they face each other, they see their own (senior's) past and their own (junior's) future. There is a talk concert where this warmth between seniors and juniors is conveyed.
On November 27 at 2 p.m., the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at Dongmyung University (President Jeong Hong-seop) held the "Dongmyung Advertising and Public Relations Talk Concert" in the main lecture hall of the Central Library.
The recorded video of the concert will be released through the mentoring class of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations starting November 30.
The "Dongmyung Advertising and Public Relations Talk Concert" is an event conducted as part of the "Seniors' Employment Know-how" series that the university's Department of Advertising and Public Relations has continued since 2018.
This series is a representative extracurricular program of the university, where graduated seniors participate as instructors to share stories from their school days and employment success strategies with juniors.
The event, moderated by Professor Lee Jeong-gi, head of the Department of Advertising and Public Relations, featured corporate PR experts who graduated from the department (formerly the Mass Communication Department), including Executive Director Park Kyung-mi (Planning and PR Team at Hwami-ju, Class of 00), Assistant Manager Lee Seong-hee (PR and Promotion Team at Homeplus Yeonsan Branch, Class of 01), and Professor Han Eun-jung (Dongmyung University, formerly Media Jium PR Video Planning and Production Team, Class of 01).
These alumni corporate PR professionals shared information on trends in the PR field, the work of corporate PR personnel, the qualities desired by corporate PR organizations, and employment strategies.
They also shared episodes from their university days and expressed affectionate concern for juniors by offering words of comfort to those who may have many worries.
The Dongmyung Advertising and Public Relations Talk Concert was originally planned as an offline talk concert with about 100 students from the Department of Advertising and Public Relations participating, but it was changed to an online talk concert due to the recent spread of COVID-19.
