Busan Superintendent of Education Kim Seok-jun and Acting Mayor Byeon Seong-wan Visit CSAT Test Sites

Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and Busan City to Conduct Special Disinfection Inspection at Busanjin High School Test Site on the 30th

Busan Superintendent of Education Kim Seok-jun and Acting Mayor Byeon Seong-wan Visit CSAT Test Sites Busan Metropolitan Office of Education.


[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] To ensure a 'safe College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT),' the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education and Busan City will conduct a special inspection of the disinfection preparations at the CSAT test site on November 30 at 10:30 a.m., three days before the exam, at Busanjin High School in Busanjin-gu, Busan.


Kim Seok-jun, Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, and Byun Seong-wan, Acting Mayor of Busan, will visit Busanjin High School on that day to conduct a final check on the disinfection preparations for the CSAT test sites, including verifying examinee entry procedures, inspecting general test sites, and separate test sites.


Busanjin High School is one of the 62 general test sites in the Busan area.


The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education plans to focus on CSAT disinfection by forming a 'CSAT Disinfection Task Force' led by the Deputy Superintendent, which will handle disinfection tasks, test site facility inspections, and infectious disease situation management.


Superintendent Kim Seok-jun stated, "For examinees taking the CSAT under the unprecedented infectious disease COVID-19, we will do our best to manage and operate test site disinfection in cooperation with Busan City," and urged "educational families and citizens to actively cooperate for a safe CSAT by refraining from unnecessary gatherings or events."


Byun Seong-wan, Acting Mayor of Busan, said, "To ensure that examinees and parents can feel safe from the recently increasing risk of COVID-19 infection, we will work closely with the Office of Education to carry out thorough CSAT disinfection."


This year’s CSAT in the Busan area will be operated by dividing test sites into 62 general test schools, 2 separate test schools for self-quarantined individuals, and 1 hospital test site for confirmed cases, with a total of 27,529 examinees expected to participate.
