[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seoul Metropolitan Council (Chairman Kim In-ho) received the 5th Korea Local Autonomy Policy Award in the Uijeongbu category on the 27th.

The Korea Local Autonomy Policy Award discovers and honors innovative policies of local governments, contributing to the spread of 'model cases.' This year, the Uijeongbu category was newly established to select and award innovative policies and distinctive council operation cases.

The 'Smart Seoul Metropolitan Council,' which won the award at the Seoul Metropolitan Council this time, is an information-sharing system that strengthens council capabilities and comprehensively supports council activities. Through this system, the entire process of council activities has been digitized, creating an environment where council activities can be conducted anytime and anywhere.

Kim In-ho, Chairman of the Seoul Metropolitan Council (Democratic Party of Korea), stated, "Through this award, we will strive to widely share the 'Smart Seoul Metropolitan Council' system with other local governments, and the Seoul Metropolitan Council will also learn innovative operation cases from other councils."
