From December 7 to 10, 2020 Year-End Love Sharing Blood Donation Week
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] BNK Gyeongnam Bank continues to share the precious gift of life to overcome the blood shortage caused by COVID-19.
BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced on the 27th that it participated in the "Love Blood Donation Event for Stabilizing Blood Supply," hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City. About 30 employees from the Ulsan Sales Headquarters joined Ulsan city officials, related institution staff, and general citizens to board the blood donation bus stationed at the Sunlight Plaza of Ulsan City Hall and donated blood.
In particular, the event was conducted while strictly adhering to quarantine guidelines such as temperature checks, hand sanitization, and mask-wearing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection.
Han Jong-tae, Deputy Head of the Ulsan Sales Department, said, "After hearing the news that the appropriate blood stock in Ulsan Metropolitan City often falls below five days, causing an emergency in blood supply, we decided to participate in the Love Blood Donation Event for stabilizing blood supply. We hope many citizens recognize the red alert situation for blood donation and actively participate in the blood donation campaign that can save lives."
Following the Love Blood Donation Event hosted by Ulsan Metropolitan City, BNK Gyeongnam Bank plans to conduct a "2020 Year-end Love Sharing Blood Donation Week" for one week from the 7th to the 10th of next month. The Love Blood Donation campaign will start with the Dongbu Sales Headquarters, followed by the Seobu Sales Headquarters, Changwon Sales Headquarters, and the head office departments, with employees voluntarily participating in blood donation.
