Double Round Scheduled for the 28th and 29th
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] The Atlas BX Motorsports team, sponsored by Hankook Tire & Technology, will compete in the final double round of the '2020 CJ Logistics Superrace Championship (CJ Superrace)' held on the 28th and 29th at Everland Speedway in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.
After completing six rounds this season, Atlas BX Motorsports is leading the team championship with a cumulative 171 points. Team drivers Kim Jong-gyeom and Choi Myung-gil have earned 84 and 79 points respectively in the driver championship, ranking first and second. Vehicles equipped with Hankook Tires have won 12 out of 15 rounds held from the opening of the 2019 season through the sixth round of the 2020 season.
In particular, depending on the results of the final double round this weekend, the Atlas BX Motorsports team and its drivers will achieve the record of winning the team and driver championship double titles for four consecutive years. The team has secured five driver championships and three team championships in the '6000 class' over the past six years.
Meanwhile, Hankook Tire leads the development of global motorsports culture by supplying racing tires or sponsoring participating teams in about 50 global motorsports events worldwide. Recently, it was selected as the exclusive partner to supply electric vehicle tires starting from the 2022/23 season, when the third-generation race car was introduced in the prestigious electric car racing event, the 'ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.'
